Financial Trend Analysis ApS (FTA) is an independent company offering analyses and courses to finance professionals based on a unique mix of technical analysis and behavioural finance.
The company was founded by Klaus Ikast and Kim Cramer Larsson in March 2009 and is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
FTA was nominated by the magazine "The Technical Analyst" in the category "Best FX Research and Strategy 2009" and in the category "Best Specialist Research 2010 and 2011" for their Daily Trading Signals.
The company, the team accomplishments and methods are presented in “Technical Analysis in Fund Management” published by Magazine "The Technical Analyst" in October 2009.
OUR VISION: We at FTA believe markets are driven by psychology - not by macroeconomics and fundamentals. We firmly subscribe to the view that spotting trends and market exhaustions are the key elements to achieving our goal:

When determining our strategies we focus the most on stop strategies and support and resistance levels.
FTA offers financial market analysis based on a unique mix of Technical Analysis and Behavioural Finance.
Every trading day we publish Daily Trading Signals which are short-term technical trading strategies and intra-day support and resistance levels on more than 30 FX crosses, Fixed Income, Yields, Commodities, Stock Indices and Futures.
Weekly Trading Signals is a weekly publication and consists of the same assets as the Daily Trading Signals but are updated weekly.
The strategies are based exclusively on technical analysis and gives You the direction of the current trends, support and resistance levels and a few coments. Charts will be added to some of the assets.
FTA also publishes a regular 1-pager “Technical Outlook” notes containing our longer-term views and in-depth analysis of specific securities. Technical Outlook notes can be tailored to your required time horizon.
Investors can subscribe to our daily and weekly Trading Signals publications and have it mailed directly.

Kim Cramer Larsson started his career in 1996 as an Equities Trader, US and Asian markets with BG Bank, London. In 1997, Kim relocated to BG Bank, Copenhagen (BG Bank was acquired by Danske Bank in 2000) to the position of Equities Trader and Portfolio Manager. Kim began using Technical Analysis as a trading tool from 1997. In 2005, Kim was promoted to the position of Technical Analyst in the FX & Fixed Income Research department at Danske Bank. In this role, together with Klaus Ikast Kim was responsible for technical analysis on FX, Fixed Income, Commodities and Equities markets. In 2009, Kim was key speaker at the “International Traders Conference” hosted by FX Street. Kim has a HD (equivalent of a UK Graduate Diploma) in Business Administration in Finance from Copenhagen Business School with a thesis in Currency Crisis. |

Klaus Ikast has 30 years’ experience in the financial industry, 27 of them spent working with technical analysis.
Klaus has used technical analysis as a trader, adviser, portfolio manager and analyst. Klaus has over the years traded mortgage loans, money market instruments, bonds, equities, currencies, futures and options. He has worked for banks and corporate companies in Denmark and Germany. Since 2002 he has worked full time as a Technical Analyst in the FX & Fixed Income Research department at Danske Bank. In this role, Klaus was responsible for technical analysis on FX, Fixed Income, Commodities and Equities markets. He has taught technical analysis for Bloomberg, Reuters, Central Banks, Danish and foreign financial institutions and ACI Forex. |
